[1] Overview of CBD wax
CBD wax is a product made to be vaporized primarily with a vape device (vaporizer). In Japanese, the word wax may bring to mind hair styling products, but wax means wax, and CBD wax is so named because it looks like wax.

That being said, CBD wax on the market comes in a variety of looks, from gel wax to brown gemstones to grains of rice. The different looks are due to different ingredients and manufacturing methods, but the usage is basically the same for all of them.
[2] How to use CBD wax
The usage of CBD wax is basically similar to that of CBD liquid, but the atomizer part (the part that heats it) of the vape device (vaporizer) is different, so you need to be careful about that. By the way, in this article, we will explain using the Airis vaporizer and PharmaHemp CBD wax.
-
Prepare a vaporizer.
One thing to pay attention to when choosing a vaporizer is the standard, so it's best to choose the 510 standard, which is the most common.
There are four types of vaporizers in the photo, all of which are 510 standard and can be used with the atomizer shown at the top. On the other hand, please be careful not to use the wrong standard atomizer.
By the way, the lid of the Airis atomizer is a spoon for scooping wax, which is convenient when scooping wax (see below). The photo below shows the atomizer with the lid (mouthpiece) removed, and the white part on the left is the heating part.
-
Open the CBD wax and remove it.
The photo shows a slightly larger amount, but if you're only going to smoke once, you can use less. -
Apply the wax to the atomizer part.
Instead of just pouring it in, you need to apply it to the heated part of the atomizer. You can apply it directly with a spoon, but sometimes the spoon is not long enough, especially when you are using it for the first time, so in that case you can use a toothpick instead. -
First time using an atomizer
When using the atomizer for the first time, you need to fully soak the white heating part in wax . If you inhale with the white part left as it is, it will cause the atomizer to burn dry.
To spread it over, just press and hold the heating button until it is fully spread. Heat for 1 second, spread the wax in that time, heat for another second, and then spread it again.
- If you soak the wax properly, it will look like this. It's okay if the color is a little lighter. I put in too much wax for the one in the photo.
-
Just heat and smoke
Three or four inhalations of CBD wax is enough. The effect of the inhalation takes place in about 10 minutes, so if you don't feel the effects, you can easily adjust the amount by taking additional inhalations.
Continue heating it. If you heat it too much, the CBD ingredients will be destroyed, so if you are using a vape device, set it to the lowest temperature setting or one setting higher.
[3] How to store CBD wax
- Store out of light, as exposure to sunlight can degrade the CBD and the entire product.
- We do not recommend storing it in the refrigerator as it will harden and become difficult to use. It may harden in cold environments such as winter, but in that case you can melt it by using a hair dryer or by boiling it in lukewarm water.
[4] Advantages and disadvantages of CBD wax
merit
-
There are no unnecessary ingredients.
CBD wax is mostly composed of only cannabinoids, mainly CBD, and terpenes. It is recommended for those who do not want to inhale PG and MCT oil contained in liquid. -
High CBD absorption rate (35% and up)
The absorption rate of CBD through inhalation is high, at over 35%. The only other way to take CBD more effectively than through inhalation is through transdermal absorption. -
There are many full spectrum products, so it is easy to feel the effects
Most CBD wax is made by removing harmful substances and THC from the raw hemp. Therefore, it contains many peripheral substances, so you can expect the entourage effect.
Disadvantages
- Preparation and maintenance are more troublesome than pens and cartridges .<br>Compared to pen and cartridge products that can be smoked as is, it inevitably feels like a lot of work. It is also difficult to prepare for your first smoke. Many CBD shops also offer starter kits for first-time users.
-
The flavor is unique.
Generally, CBD wax has a strong grass-like flavor or a strong kick. If you are a beginner, we recommend trying it at a CBD shop that offers trials or trying other products.
